2011 MVP - ALL-STAR GAME and SKILLS COMPETITION

Border Town SPL is inviting YOU to Participate in the 5^th Annual Border Town MVP Game & Skills Competition!! 

EVERYONE IS WELCOME!  Tuesday, July 5^th              

Location:  Fleetwood Park  -  Event begins at 6:30 PM SHARP!!!

      This year for the 5^th time, Border Town SPL is thrilled to host an All-Star Game & Skills Competition to honour and feature our “best of the best” players, and see our brightest all together in action (just like MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL)!! 

      PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR ENTIRE TEAM, FAMILY, FRIENDS & PETS TO COME OUT TO SEE SOME OF OUR BEST, SOME GREAT BALL AND SKILLS COMPETITIONS!

General Information

      Every team selects two (2) players to play in the All-Star Classic Game.  The 2 "chosen ones" can be chosen as each Team sees fit.  For example, blind ballot (teamers place names in a hat), team vote, Captain's selection, Team/Player Stats, etc.  The players selected should be deemed your Team's best/most valuable.  Selections may be male or female.  

       The All-Star/MVP Classic game shall be OFFICIALLY UMPIRED & be 9 FULL innings.

6:30 pm Skills - Competitions begin !!

6:30 - 7:10 PM        Arm Accuracy (most popular skills competition - 2 years running !!)

7:15 - 8:25 PM        Homerun Derby (Male & Female) Pick your Pitcher Folks!  Can Kris Baczynski of the 2011 Smurfs be beat?

Who will be our “Big Papi” this year?!!!

8:30 - 8:55 PM        If time permits - Fastest Base Runner  - Can Winston Gayle of The 2008 Champion Falcons & 2011 Raiders be beat?

9:00 - 11 PM - All-Star/MVP Game 

       The winner of the 5^th Annual All-Star/MVP Game gets "Home" Field advantage in the BORDER Town Year-End Tournament @ Dunton, Saturday, September 24^th & Sunday, September 25^th. 

       To our winners – Prizes will be awarded at our Year-End Tourney!!

Kindly note, unlike the Year-End Tourney, due to regulations, alcohol will not be served, nor will "regular" beverages or food only because of the very short (3 hours approx.) time frame.  Feel free to bring your "own" refreshments
